How does account linking work in the catalog?
Answer
The Kansas City Public Library (KCPL) has partnered with the Mid-Continent Public Library and the Johnson County Library systems to allow our patrons to share a single username which can be used to login to each catalog.
When using this feature, your ratings, lists, shelves and preferences will follow you no matter which library catalog you are using.
If you are interested in account linking, please follow these steps:
- Go to My Settings.
- Select Manage Cards.
- Select Link a library card.
- Enter your library card information and Link the Card to confirm.
Note: You cannot link a card for which you already have a username established. You will need to choose your preferred username and unregister any others before linking.
