What are the policies for label and/or paperwork removal on Interlibrary Loan (ILL) materials?

Answer

ILL sticker labels and ILL paperwork must remain with ILL items.

  • ILL items have a large, green sticker label on the front of the item, which includes the ILL due date, the checkout information needed by staff members, and the ILL department contact info. Do not remove this label.
  • ILL materials may also include paperwork provided by the lending library, which may be tucked-in or paper-clipped in the item. Do not remove any paperwork.
  • Customers who have removed ILL sticker labels and/or paperwork three times will receive an initial email warning from ILL staff.
  • Customers who have removed ILL sticker labels and/or paperwork four times will receive a secondary email warning from ILL staff.
  • Customers who have removed ILL sticker labels and/or paperwork five times will receive an email notice from ILL staff regarding a six-month suspension from ILL.
